This was my back. This was the worst part of my back and because it was right in the middle I could not move very easily, get in/out cars very easily, wear shirts (which was almost always required :)), etc. Today, this area is totally clear! Here is a picture taken a few weeks after I started Enbrel. You can see there is a marked improvement, but there was still a ways to go.
Soooo, this evening I got a pedicure in celebration of (near) perfectly clear legs!! I shaved my legs before I went. No pain. No burning. No NOTHING!! It was so fun. Mike and I went together and it was a really cool thing to do. I'm glad my first pedicure in a long time was with him. And yes, you read that right. Mike gets pedicures and totally loves them.
Before we left. These before pictures were was taken mostly in the dark, so I really had to lighten the colors.
Such a difference from the pictures above. I still cannot believe it.
Here is the lady filing Mike's toenails :) Notice how much he's into it!
Still kinda nervous, but it actually felt pretty good. I was nervous they were going to put on gloves because they maybe they would see weird scaring on my legs and get concerned. Well, when I sat down, she put on gloves. I immediately became self-conscious. But, after talking to Carol and Kayla, they almost always put on gloves now. So, that was refreshing to know.
